Mother’s Day is just right around the corner! Whitney came up with a fantastic idea to gift a photo shoot with all three of her sisters for her mom! They hadn’t had their portraits done since they were a lot younger, and they had an absolute blast getting their photos done together. It is a great opportunity to give your mom something she can keep forever. They had so much fun, and I really hope to do more of these types of sessions soon. They are a gorgeous bunch!

What can I say about Hudson. Just look at his smile!!! I captured Shanna’s family portraits last year, and I couldn’t wait to work with them again! Her son Hudson just turned one, and we decided to do a cake smash for his milestone portraits. The perfectly decorated cake was created by Shanna herself! Spring has just begun, and we took advantage of some colorful tulip blooms and greenery at one of my favorite parks. Hudson’s face lit up as soon as he saw that cake, and the pictures tell the rest of the story. TOO. CUTE.

It’s Senior Season! I have always said that I look forward to booking senior portrait sessions because I love getting to meet really refreshing young individuals who have so much to look forward to in the life ahead of them. It also reminds me of how “old” I am! I’m 18 at heart for sure. Ryan was great to work with. Most guys really hate taking pictures! He was pretty laid back and extremely easy, and he knew exactly how to pose without me trying to force him into anything cheesy. My style is very casual and laid back as it is, so this fits my approach to my photography really well! He is going to be attending Texas A&M University, and will be majoring in petroleum engineering. Really smart kid! Good luck to you, kid!

Meet Arriel – a wife, attorney, and new mother! I just captured her newborn’s portraits this past weekend, and had to play catch up to show off her gorgeous maternity portraits that we took two weeks ago. Baby Loganelle decided to enter the world a tad bit early, so we set a date for the newborn portrait session right away. Arriel has such a great personality, and I loved her unique style. She looked so radiant and beautiful!

Texas Bluebonnet Sessions

Things that I love about living in Texas are the bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes that bloom around April! It marks the beginning of spring for us Texans, and it only lasts for a couple of weeks. I have a favorite spot in the DFW area where they have lush fields of bluebonnets, and it is incredible to photograph! The Neimics were kind enough to contact me again to capture their yearly family portraits. I met them last year in the spring, and they have a family photo tradition to have their portraits done with the bluebonnets. Their two daughters were a hoot once again! They are full of energy and giggles. I too would enjoy jumping around in a bed full of flowers!

Amanda & Michael // Engagement Portrait Session // Dallas, TX

I was thrilled the minute I found out I would be capturing this couple’s engagement portraits! Amanda and Michael are such a unique and amazing couple, and were a lot of fun to work with. They had really cool ideas for their portraits that reflected their vibrant personalities. They love the Dallas Cowboys, Magic the Gathering (which is how they met), and they are major dog lovers! I took them to one of my favorite spots in north Dallas where there is a mix of green and urban background. I have a love for different textures, so I fell in love with their photos right away!

Congratulations to the Bothe family! They have recently welcomed a new baby girl to their home, and I had the awesome opportunity to capture this amazing moment in their lives. I loved being a part of it all! I worked with Ann for her maternity portraits, and was excited as I waited in anticipation for baby Natalie’s arrival. I can’t with to work with them again in the future to capture her as she grows up!

Meet little Carter who is turning 1 this coming Saturday! I got to meet this little guy before he even entered the world – Nicole and her husband had previously booked me for their maternity portraits, baby shower, and newborn photos, so I have basically got to be a part of this special journey in their lives! When I came to do their session at their home, I couldn’t believe it was the same baby! He had grown so quickly, and it made me realize how time just flies by. We got to do the shoot in his room which was also his nursery, so it was fun to do some before and afters using the same colored walls. Meet Mandie. She’s a bright and pretty young lady from Orange County, CA who is going to be graduating from TCU this May with a degree in speech pathology! Her set was fun and fresh, and for this one we tried two different locations and three looks. Congrats to the grad to be!

Although these photos were taken back last Fall in November, I still had to make time to post these photos no matter how late! I am horrible at keeping up with the blog! I had met Chelsea through another client of mine, and she was awesome to work with. I remember it being rather windy and pretty chilly this day, but we made it through with some really fun shots. My favorite time of year would be fall for the colors. Enjoy!
