FAQ Page!

Over time I have come across a lot of questions from my customers, and I felt the need to put together a page to conveniently answer all of your questions in one place! I will of course be adding more as time goes on, but here are our most popular questions. I hope you find the answer you need here, and you can of course reach out to me via email, phone, or Facebook at anytime!:)

1. I booked a session, but I don’t know what to wear. Any ideas?

I always suggest to wear something that represents you. My job is to portray your personality through the camera, but if you are wearing something you wouldn’t normally put on, it will show because you won’t be comfortable! That doesn’t mean to come in your favorite sweats (although I am totally not against that!), but choose something you are most comfortable in and that fits your personality. Bold colors always work best in photos!

2. What type of equipment do you use?

I use all top of the line professional Canon equipment. I own a Canon 5D Mark II which is practically my child! I use a range of L-series lenses that are appropriate for weddings and portraits, and professional flash and accessories.

3. How long does it usually take for you to finish editing my photos?

I take about 2 weeks to finish, and I update you every step of the way! If you have specific deadlines, I am more than happy to accommodate you and get the photos to you on time.

4. Do you provide the un-edited raw image files with your packages?

I do not provide the un-edited raw images with any of my packages. This is to protect my personal creative branding and style as a small business. Please view my work throughout my website and Facebook page to make sure we are a good match before booking a session.

5. What images do you include and exclude?

I include all images that turn out. On average, a one hour session will get you 40 images. I exclude any images where eyes are closed, if the photo has unflattering poses or expressions, or if the photo is blown out due to lighting. I take MANY shots of each moment, so duplicates are common. I take the BEST out of the entire session and include them, which is where the 40 comes from.

6. Do you have your own studio?

My style of work involves all natural lighting outdoors, or at a venue of your choice. I have several location suggestions for you if you need help finding a good place, and I am also open to traveling to where you are, or to your place of choice. What I love about shooting on location is that it creates a more photojournalistic look to your photos rather than stuffy and super traditional portrait with a backdrop.

7. What are some things I can expect during the photo session?

Fun….and more fun! I have a laid back approach to all of my sessions which provides you a comfortable and easy going shoot. I always assist with posing or suggestions, and I am always coming up with new ideas. I am very open minded, so feel free to communicate! Expect me to be laughing and giggling with you throughout the photoshoot! This is meant to be a fun experience, along with capturing moments for you and your family. Just be yourself, and trust me to do the hard work.

8. How would you describe your style?

Modern. Fresh. Contemporary. I wanted a new and modern approach to portrait photography, while providing you something that you are proud of! I have fun creating natural light images that are bright, innovative and, yes, absolutely fun & adorable!
